&#;
The second episode of time-hopping post-apocalyptic adventure The Silent Age is set to hit the App Store next week. It'll pop up as an IAP, and it'll set you back £2.99 / $4.99.

Unless, that is, you've already backed development of the second part of Joe's story, in which case you'll get a code sent to you. There's still time to do that, and it'll set you back $2.99 instead, which is a bit of a saving.

The game is a traditional point and click adventure with a dark, humorous storyline that sees you flitting between post-apocalyptic 2012 and the slightly more upbeat swinging '70s.

You can find out more about the game over on its official site, and if you're interested, keep an eye on the App Store next week when the second, and final, episode, should arrive.

    A STAG asked a Sheep to lend him a measure of wheat, and said that the Wolf would be his surety. The Sheep, fearing some fraud was intended, excused herself, saying, "The Wolf is accustomed to seize what he wants and to run off; and you, too, can quickly outstrip me in your rapid flight. How then shall I be able to find you, when the day of payment comes?'The Pomegranate, Apple-Tree, and BrambleDuskwood mod APK, designed by EverByte, is the most fulfilling game in this category. Everything depends on your decisions, so always take time and when you are fully confirmed, go for your choices. You are the sole master and savior of the village Duskwood. As you know, after a certain extent of gaming, you need to participate in the Match-three game and cross the levels. And the time you will crack the levels. Choices will appear in front of you to select from. Whether you want to continue with the story or are tired, you want to play more minigames.

There's a bit of sad news announced today as Microsoft revealed it'd be closing down Age of Empires: Castle Siege on all platforms. You've got until May 13th 2019 before the game comes to an end.

&#;"Yes. I found HIM one bitter cold day in winter, caught in the branches of a tree by his durn-fool ribbon collar. He was almost starving. If you could have seen his eyes, Mistress Blythe! He was nothing but a kitten, and he'd got his living somehow since he'd been left until he got hung up. When I loosed him he gave my hand a pitiful swipe with his little red tongue. He wasn't the able seaman you see now. He was meek as Moses. That was nine years ago. His life has been long in the land for a cat. He's a good old pal, the First Mate is."

    &#;
PlatinumGames’ first foray into mobile gaming, World of Demons, has successfully soft launched on the App Store this week in Southeast Asia, as the game prepares for a full launch sometime this summer. PlatinumGames is best known for games like Bayonetta and Nier: Automata.

World of Demons highlights Platinum’s knack for sheer style with a Japanese ink-painting aesthetic reminiscent of Okami (a title designed by a number of Platinum’s founding members). The game, which is being created in partnership with mobile publisher DeNA, looks to be a samurai-inspired hack and slash.

Players will rely on impressive swordplay skills to defeat enemies, but you can also call on Yokai, your own personal monster helpers, to aid in battle with their own special attacks and support abilities.

The soft launch gives players in the Philippines, Singapore, and Malaysia full access to the game (though there are IAPs present). The rest will have to wait later this summer to give World of Demons a spin.
A COUNTRY MOUSE invited a Town Mouse, an intimate friend, to pay him a visit and partake of his country fare. As they were on the bare plowlands, eating there wheat-stocks and roots pulled up from the hedgerow, the Town Mouse said to his friend, "You live here the life of the ants, while in my house is the horn of plenty. I am surrounded by every luxury, and if you will come with me, as I wish you would, you shall have an ample share of my dainties." The Country Mouse was easily persuaded, and returned to town with his friend. On his arrival, the Town Mouse placed before him bread, barley, beans, dried figs, honey, raisins, and, last of all, brought a dainty piece of cheese from a basket. The Country Mouse, being much delighted at the sight of such good cheer, expressed his satisfaction in warm terms and lamented his own hard fate. Just as they were beginning to eat, someone opened the door, and they both ran off squeaking, as fast as they could, to a hole so narrow that two could only find room in it by squeezing. They had scarcely begun their repast again when someone else entered to take something out of a cupboard, whereupon the two Mice, more frightened than before, ran away and hid themselves. At last the Country Mouse, almost famished, said to his friend: "Although you have prepared for me so dainty a feast, I must leave you to enjoy it by yourself. It is surrounded by too many dangers to please me. I prefer my bare plowlands and roots from the hedgerow, where I can live in safety, and without fear."

Have you ever felt there needed to be a mobile version of the reality TV show Big Brother? Well, evidently Endemol Shine Group – the folks behind the series – believe there should be so they've teamed up with developer 9th Impact to bring Big Brother: The Game is heading for iOS and Android later this year.

Beyond simply being a simulation of the show, Big Brother: The Game will also have a 'life-changing prize fund up for grabs'. Players will become virtual housemates over a series of Big Brother where they will have to make tactical choices to emerge victorious with these prizes. Endemol says that it will be a game of social, psychological and interpersonal skill.

There will be two different modes available to players when the game launches later this year. The first will be as a spectator which will be free with various IAPs on offer, though I'm not sure what those will be yet. The second is, of course, to become a housemate, which will require the player to purchase a Token. There is no word on how much this will cost just yet.

Discussing the game, Dr Finn Krewer, Head of Development at 9th Impact said: “Our approach to designing this game was to think of a person’s mobile device as their portal into a massive online Big Brother season.”

He added: “The player will face competitions, chores, nominations, evictions and have to navigate all the same complex social relationships and intrigue that make the TV show so compelling.”

Beyond that, details are fairly scarce at the moment. We don't know how much players will win for emerging from the virtual house victorious or how long each series will last. Regardless, we'll keep you updated as and when we learn more.

Big Brother: The Game will be available over on the App Store and Google Play later this year. It will be a free-to-play game with in-app purchases for spectators but IAPs are required to become a contestant.
Interested in other upcoming games? Here are some of the best available in soft-launch
